Sign up for 2022

Countdown to registration has begun!

We are excited to announce that the Maintenance work will be held on 4-6 May 2022.

Registration for next year’s maintenance work will open on Tuesday 14 December at 11:00 hrs (GMT). Registration will stay open for 24 hours and will close on Wednesday, 15 December at 11:00.

100 people will be randomly chosen from those who have signed up. The time at which you decide to sign up during the 24 hours will have no bearing on whether or not you will be admitted to the Maintenance Crew.

WHO CAN SIGN UP

No specific requirements are needed. But note that most projects will take place on uneven terrain. Projects will be of various difficulty levels, meaning volunteers do not need to be highly skilled. A willingness to assist and a fairly physically fit shape is the only criterion. You must be 18 years of age before 5 May 2022 to be part of the Maintenance Crew.

FLIGHTS

The 100 randomly chosen people admitted to the Maintenance Crew will receive an e-mail from Visit Faroe Islands on Tuesday 11 January which will contain a personal promo code to pay for their flights.

You will need to buy flight tickets to the Faroe Islands yourself. We have an agreement with our national airline, Atlantic Airways, about promotion codes, which will give all participants a discount, when purchasing the tickets.

You can choose between diffrent routes, see them here. Expect a price for a return ticket from CPH to be approx. 2500 DKK.

ACCOMMODATION AND FOOD

Basic accommodation and food over the three-night maintenance period will be provided by Visit Faroe Islands. Note that accommodation may be in shared rooms.

Registration is open on this page.
