Looking through the archive and depository at the National Library, the staff has found a selection of publication and writings from the Second World War. These books, papers and other materials have been made into an exhibition that gives an insight into Faroese society in the time of war, as well as how foreigners experienced and looked upon the Faroe Islands and the Faroese.
The exhibition also sheds a light on the duty the Library has as a Depository Library and a National Collection.
The exhibition is open until the 21st of April 2021, at our regular opening hours: Mon.–Thu. 9.30AM–6.00PM, Fri. 9.30AM–5.00PM.
