In December, 2013, brothers Heini and Høgni Tausen bought the firm Grótvirkið í Skopun. It is a stone quarry and stonemasonry where huge rocks are converted into tombstones, tables, and small objects for everyday use.
The story of the Faroese “stone culture” is yet to be told, but this Economusée —North Atlantic Basalt, will help change that.
