Bárður sings Cohen & People in Orbit

Bárður á Lakjuni sings songs by Cohen, and People in Orbit perform.

Tickets cost 150 kr. (however, only 100 kr. for members of Grót), available at the door from 8:00 PM. Those who are 18 years and younger and are members of the music association Grót have free admission.

Bárður á Lakjuni:
"No One Like Cohen" has been the title of several memorial concerts that Bárður á Lakjuni has held around the country.

We know Bárður from many different musical activities, both as part of bands, projects, and as a soloist. Recently, he has had several very successful concerts where he has followed in the footsteps of his famous countryman, the late Niels Midjord, who also interpreted songs by Leonard Cohen.

Leonard Cohen was a highly respected songwriter, singer, and author who passed away in 2016. After several requests from people to bring Bárður to Tøting with this concert, we are pleased to announce that it will now happen!

People in Orbit:
The Swedish band People In Orbit is visiting the Faroe Islands these days, where some concerts will be on the schedule. We are looking forward to having these excellent musicians visit.

People in Orbit is Adam Sass's adventurous band. They describe their music something like this:
Electronic meets acoustic, chaos meets calm, and the beautiful meets the more organized. Through all these kinds of soundscapes, magnificent, bold, and inventive sounds are created that clearly set the stage for various environments, characters, and our own strange world.

The Swedish magazine, Orkesterjournalen, wrote the following about the band's performance at the Ystad Sweden Jazz Festival 2022: I was completely touched and taken aback by the Malmö quintet, People In Orbit, who delivered an absolutely outstanding performance.
Regarding the debut album, Patrik Lindgren from the Swedish jazz magazine Lira says: Adam Sass is 24 years old and leads one of the best young bands in Sweden.
