People and Birds in the Faroe Islands
Birdlife in the Faroe Islands - which birds are thriving?
Hear about the latest research on birdlife in the Faroe Islands and get inspiration for your next trip to the shoreline.
Birdlife in the Faroe Islands is diverse, and some bird species play a crucial role in the global bird population. Nólsoy, Skúgvoy, and Mykines are internationally recognized wetlands, known as Ramsar sites, where birds are counted to monitor their populations.
We will discuss birds, their habitats, how they find food, and why birdwatching is such a fascinating activity.
Organized by: The Faroese Environment Agency, the National Museum, and the Faroese Marine Research Institute (Havstovan).
