A lovely place to dive, suitable for both snorkelling and skin-diving

Øravík is one of the oldest villages on the island of Suðuroy. Here you can find Hotel Øravík, which is situated around 200 metres from a charming sandy beach with shingles. A large river runs past the side of hotel and is full of trout. You can rinse your equipment there after diving.

It is easy to dive from a concrete jetty where the waters are beautifully clean, and where the seabed is thickly covered in seaweed. A lovely place to dive, suitable for both snorkelling and skin-diving.
