Kjalnes, Kollafjørður
At the mouth of the fjord on the outskirts of Kollafjørður, the road turns 90°. In the turning, there is a building where you can park.
The rocky ground slopes down and meets a sandy seabed at the deepest depths. This is a pleasant dive with plenty of interesting life, including sea slugs, sea anemones, dead man’s fingers and the chance of seeing catfish.
Diving can become difficult when the wind blows from the south and east. The water is often phosphorescent at night and when diving during the night, you should try switching off your light to enjoy the light show from the microorganisms.
Maximum depth is 11 metres.
Visibility is quite variable.
