It has a great view over the fjord and the surrounding mountains, and is surrounded by the church, an old cottage and the library building. It is also home to the pop-up outdoor café, Hjallurin, which is a popular café on a summer day.

This park is often used as a venue for outdoor, family-friendly events for e.g. the Culture Days in Fuglafjørður.
