The music school is located in the newly built building on the west side of town

Currently, the school employs more than 50 teachers, and around 800 students receive weekly lessons on a musical instrument. In addition, various choirs, orchestras, and bands rehearse at the school each week.

In addition to its teaching activities, the music school collaborates with other cultural institutions, including Skúlin á Fløtum on the Litir í Leiki programme and Skúlin við Løgmannabreyt on the Ljóð í Leiki programme.

Tórshavnar Musikkskúli also partners with Glasir and Setrið to provide music education.

The Musical Upper Secondary Programme and the Organist Education Programme are integral parts of Tórshavnar Musikkskúli.
