Anfinn & Co. at Varpið during Norðoyastevna

Exactly 40 years ago during Norðoyastevna, the first music release by Anfinn & Co. saw the light of day. The cassette tape — the most commonly used format at the time — was titled Hví.

With strong musical backing from the band Hjarnar, several songs became true Faroese classics, including Vælkomin Heim, Lítli Fuglur, and Útsalg.

Since then, the group has released:

Betur Seint enn Álvara in 1997
Rótasúpan in 2008

To celebrate their 40th anniversary, Anfinn & Co. will take the stage at Norðoyastevna on May 30.

The lineup for the evening is far from unknown within the music scene. Joining them are the good old veterans and close friends from Hjarnar — promising a truly great evening of music.
