Kringvarpið invites everyone inside for Culture Night!

Major and exciting productions have been on the horizon at Kringvarpið over the past year, and we look forward to showcasing them during Culture Night.

During the evening, Hini tú veit ("Those You Know")—cousins Nomi and Thor, who won Kakumiks 2026—will be baking alongside Baking Stars Mattias and Bjarki, who won Kakumiks 2025. In the main Kringvarp hall, the grand Kakumiks kitchen will be filled with the wonderful aroma of fresh cookies.

In Moominvalley, there is room for everyone and everyone feels welcome. On Culture Night, we will premiere the very first episode of the brand-new series about Moomin and everyone else in Moominvalley. The new Moomin episodes will officially air this autumn, but you can get an exclusive look at Moomin ahead of time in the KVF cinema.

"With Tórður on Tour" will also be on the schedule, featuring guided tours around the Kringvarpið building. There will also be refreshments, photo opportunities, and a chance to peek behind the scenes.

We look forward to welcoming everyone to Sortudíki for a cozy and experiential cultural afternoon.
