Concert in the Biskupsstøðgarður farmhouse

Dania O. Tausen is a multidisciplinary artist from Toftir. A singer, songwriter and poet, she continually strives to create boundary-pushing Faroese poetry, song lyrics and soundscapes.

In 2023, Dania won the Faroese Music Award (FMA) for Album of the Year for her second album, ja/nei – og restin av vikuni. In 2024, she received the Ebba Award, which honours exceptionally gifted young poets.

With a bachelor’s degree in creative writing, Dania is always seeking new ways to work with the Faroese language and create relevant texts, often infused with humour.

Since 2019, she has released music with groups such as Aggrasoppar and Reality Bytes, while also working for the record label Tutl and helping organise poetry readings and concerts across the islands.

Her debut solo album, gonguteigatúnatos, was released in 2021, following the publication of the prose poetry collection Skál and its accompanying documentary of the same name.

Dania also has extensive experience in the visual arts, particularly graphic art and marketing, as well as promoting Faroese art through projects such as the radio programme Samværi (2023–2024). She is currently studying graphic design at a university in Oslo, while continuing to make music and work for the record label Tutl.

This is a seated living room concert, with guests seated around tables. Each table accommodates four people, so if you wish to sit together, please book your tickets as one group.

The Little Kitchen will be serving light bites, while Fjósið will offer carefully selected wines and other refreshments.

Doors open at 7:00 pm, giving guests time to find their seats and purchase something to enjoy before the music begins at 8:00 pm.
