In 2026, Treysti will once again organise the Faroese Half Marathon Championships (FM) in Klaksvík. Treysti’s main sponsor is Norðoya Sparikassi, and therefore the race will be titled Norðoya Sparikassi Half Marathon Klaksvík 2026.

The FM Half Marathon / Norðoya Sparikassi Half Marathon will take place on Saturday, 2 May 2026, on the streets of Klaksvík. The start and finish will be outside the main branch of Norðoya Sparikassi, and everyone is welcome to walk or run.

This year, Treysti is organising the Norðoya Sparikassi Half Marathon in Klaksvík, which will also serve as the FM Half Marathon. The race is a so-called city half marathon, as it is run entirely within the town on a 5.3 km loop.

The race is part of the special challenge “MBM 6 Half Marathons in 2026.”

Please note: There is no on-site registration for the half marathon.

The start and finish will be on the road between Norðoya Sparikassi’s main branch and Betesda. The half marathon course runs four times north to Stangaskákið (Victor á Lakjuni) and out to Bumshamar (Torvgøta) before turning back.

The course is a DAF-certified half marathon route.

To participate in the half marathon, runners must be born in 2009 or earlier. To compete in the FM, participants must be members of a club affiliated with FÍF.

While the event is the FM Half Marathon, it is also an open race in which everyone may participate.

Medals and Awards

All finishers of the Norðoya Sparikassi Half Marathon Klaksvík 2026 will receive a special medal.
The top three finishers in each category will also receive medals, which will be awarded at the finish area as soon as results are available.

Race Numbers

Race numbers can be collected outside Norðoya Sparikassi between 10:00 and 10:45.
The race starts promptly at 11:00.
