The forest between us: 'It tangles around my foot’

Alberte Holmø Bojesen and Floortje Zonneveld are back in Vágur, working on a seaweed project taking place between the 3 islands of Suðuroy, Vestmannaeyjar (Iceland) and Træna (Norway).
They invite you to join for an exciting workshop ór just come by to have a look, and learn about the potential of seaweed as a biomaterial

Alberte & Floortje are artists exploring new, sustainable alternatives to plastic and one such material is seaweed, in this case locally harvested from the shores of Suðuroy.

At the local Fablab Vágur, you’ll have the chance to explore this fascinating material and discover how it can be used creatively and sustainably. From crafting seaweed “leather” and creating seaweed yarn, to laser-cutting and dyeing wool with seaweed.
