Sýrublað - sour leaf

“The music is like biting into a sorrel leaf – fresh, crisp, green, and a little sour,” says Guðrið Hansdóttir.

Guðrið is back with a new full-length album, Sýrublað, to be released on 10 April 2026. The album is produced by Høgni Lisberg.

The music is raw and warm folk-pop, drawing inspiration from country, reggae, and rock.
The lyrics are written by Beinir Bergsson and revolve, among other things, around modern rootlessness, the longing for quiet nature and the bustling life of the city, anxiety about the future, and living with anxiety.

Guðrið Hansdóttir has been an active musician since the turn of the millennium and has released six full-length albums. Her most recent release, Gult myrkur, was named both Album of the Year and Lyrics of the Year at the FMA in 2023.
