The weekend of the first Sunday in Advent is a cosy time to visit Fuglafjørður

Fuglafjørður is in Christmas mood from the weekend of the first Sunday in Advent.
The weekend starts with Bright Friday with good offers in the shops, but also with the Christmas lights turned on, to create a bright and charming vibe.

Saturday is also a cosy day, where the shops are open until 4pm or 6pm, with lots to offer for Christmas.
If you visit the charming historic house of Ribarhús, with its beautiful handicraft shop, gallery and coffee shop, you will notice the care that has been taken to display all the different handicrafts inside the gallery to match the Christmas season. The coffee shop is open with good cakes.
The yarn shop, NoðaStova, with its cosy coffee areas, celebrates its 6th birthday Saturday, and is open until 6pm.

Eat your meals at Restaurant Muntra or at the pizzaria, Pitsa 530, and enjoy a night out at the bar called 'etasjan'

Sunday is the first Sunday of advent and traditionally the day where the Christmas trees are lit, with a speech, brass band and the local Fathers Christmas visiting the children of town.
The Christmas trees are lit at 3pm in the tiny village of Hellurnar, at 4.30pm in Kambsdalur and at 5pm in Fuglafjørður, next to the Culture House, where there is also a pop-up café and tombola.
At Ribarhús, the handicraft shop and the Christmas exhibition-shop are open, as is the coffee shop, where they sell waffles and coffee.
At 3pm, a double-quartet will sing Christmas songs.

Eat your meals at Restaurant Muntra (from noon till 8pm) or at the pizzaria, Pitsa 530 (from 5pm) and watch a football match at the 'etasjan' bar.
