Run or walk up to 21.1 km through the beautiful scenery of Sandoy.

Sandoy Half Marathon 2027 takes place on 15 May, during the Pentecost weekend, as it did the previous year.

The usual three distances are available:

21.1 km: Sandur–Søltuvík–around Lake Sandsvatn–Sandur. Participants can either run or walk.

10.9 km: Sandur–Søltuvík–Sandur.

6.8 km: Around Lake Sandsvatn.

There will be entertainment for children and adults at the finish line. Refreshments and medals are provided for everyone who participates.

More than 400 people took part in 2026, and the organisers expect the number to increase in 2027. Updates about the programme and activities will be shared on the Sandoy Half Marathon Facebook page.
