Nominated for the Nordic Council Film Prize 2026

Let down by the adult world, teenage brothers Alex and Robin have been left to fend for themselves. Their protective symbiosis has forged a strong bond that’s made Robin completely reliant on his older brother Alex. That is, until Alex falls in love. Feeling abandoned by Alex, Robin spirals into a freefall. Alex blames himself for naively letting his first love distract him from his responsibilities towards his younger brother and pours all his efforts into saving Robin – who may not want to be saved.

This year, six Nordic films have been nominated for the prestigious Nordic Council Film Prize. The nominees will be screened at the Nordic House in the Faroe Islands during 7 - 9 October. The winner will be announced on 20 October. 



Since 2002, the Nordic Council Film Prize has been awarded to a full-length feature film that has roots in Nordic culture and displays high standards of artistic quality.
