Rowing races will take place on the Lopran fjord on Thursday evening at 5:00 PM.
First, some of the young crews who will be representing the island this summer will test themselves over a 500-meter course.
Then, the old Sumbingur, Ormurin Langi from Vágur, and Suðuroyingur from Tvøroyri—manned by the experienced rowers from the past—will take to the water.
The race will start from the school at Leiti and head in toward Lopra.
There is plenty of space on both sides of the fjord for those who want to come by car to watch.
Some snacks will be available for purchase at the boathouse in Ónavík.
