Come and celebrate the beautiful season together with us at Tutl on Culture Nigh

“Maggio delle Ragazze”, from the small municipality of Riolunato in Italy, is an old tradition that celebrates the return of the beautiful season.

This is celebrated twice a year. The first time is the night between April 30th and May 1st, and the second time is the second Sunday in May.

The tradition is passed down from one generation to the next and is performed by the “maggiolanti” (young singers, musicians, and dancers). During the first celebration, the “maggiolanti” walk around the village singing songs wishing joy to others. During the second celebration, the villagers offer the “maggiolanti” food and drinks, which are enjoyed between the songs and dances.
