Símun Hammer will play an organ concert for app. 40 minutes at Hvannasund Church

On the Sunday, August 10th at 16:30, Símun Hammer will play an organ concert for about 40 minutes at Hvannasund Church.

The focus is on audience-friendly organ music, while some of the pieces are also more demanding and virtuosic. There will be played a mix of French romanticism, Norwegian folk music by Grieg, and Faroese organ works:

- Eli T. á Lava: The Red Thread
- Pauli í Sandágerði: A Sound of the Faroe Islands
- Kristian Blak: A Child is Born (old Kingo tune)
- Improvisation on: "It is a short and fleeting moment"
- Jens M. Mortensen: Eg skar mítt navn í grein ta hvítu
- Edvard Grieg: Morning Mood
- Alexandre Guilmant (1837-1911): Movements from Symphony No. I

The concert is part of the festival "Summartónar", where the aim is to play Faroese-produced music, so you will get about 40 minutes of well-chosen organ music - hopefully, you will come
