Stand-Up in Fenglish, a fun workshop where we'll blend Faroese and English humor

Have you ever thought a funny story of yours could make people laugh? Want to give stand-up comedy a try, even if you’ve never set foot on a stage before?

Join us for Stand-Up in Fenglish, a welcoming and supportive workshop where we'll blend Faroese and English (Finglish) humour as part of the Multicultural Week 2024!

Participants: Maximum of 10

Whether you're a beginner or someone with some stage experience, this workshop is for everyone who loves to laugh and wants to share their story. You’ll have the chance to perform your funny story in a relaxed and friendly environment, where we’ll help you transform it into a stand-up set.

You’ll receive constructive feedback on your delivery, timing, and punchlines to help you build confidence and refine your performance. And the best part? You’ll have the opportunity to perform your set at the Open Mic event on October 30th (optional)! It’s a great chance to put your new skills to the test and connect with a live audience, sharing your Fenglish humour as part of this celebration of diversity and creativity.

Requirements: • Bring a 5-minute-long story that you think is funny! • Be ready to share it with your fellow Fengslish comics.

This workshop is open to everyone, regardless of background or experience. Faroese people are also welcome - just note that it will be conducted in English. Let’s unite to laugh, learn, and celebrate diversity through comedy!
