Varmakelda (the Warm Spring) is a regional festival in Fuglafjørður. It will take place 3. - 5. July 2026.

This year, the annual Warm Spring Exhibition will open Thursday 2. July at 8pm at Gallery Ribarhús.

Friday 3. July features a celebratory concert honouring our troubadour, Stanley Samuelsen, who turned 75 years old in the spring.
A pop-up 'street food' restaurant and café will open in Ribarhús, where the handicraft shop is.

On Saturday 4. July there will be several different events throughout town, e.g. jumping castles, a large pirate show and fishing for children, an outdoor sing-along, music and football. The largest event is at the Culture House, starting at 10pm: a row of concerts with five fantastic different musical acts at various times of the evening and night.

The regional festivals usually feature the regional rowing competition, but in Eysturoy two towns, Fuglafjørður and Runavík, host the rowing competition every second year. The regional rowing competition will be in Fuglafjørður next year.
