Discover the Boat and Art Museum in Leirvík featuring historic Faroese rowing boats and impressionist art. Open Mon-Thu, May–Sept.

The museum opened in May 2000 and includes old Faroese rowing boats and artefacts from the time when rowing boats were lifesaving. It also shows art by the famous Faroese impressionist painters Jóannis Kristiansen and Sámal Toftanes.

The Boat and Art Museum has good facilities for talks and meetings. These can be used by appointment.

The Boat and Art Museum has the following opening hours:

Monday to Thursday 13:00-16:00

The museum operates from May 1st to September 1st. Outside of these dates, visits are available by appointment only.

The entry fee is 80 kr. for adults and free for children under 15 years old.
