Inaugurated in 1863
The Church was inaugurated in 1863.
The Church is spacious and was originally Church for 3 villages, Húsavík, Dalur and Skarvanes., until 1957 when Dalur get their own church. Thehe Church underwent a major renovation in the 90s. The alterpiece is by the renowned danish painter Svend Havstein Mikkelsen .
