Múli
Discover Múli, a remote Faroe Islands village surrounded by steep mountains and breathtaking ocean views, full of history and folklore.
Tucked away on the northeast coast of Borðoy, Múli feels like a step back in time. Once among the most remote villages in the Faroe Islands, it was the last to receive electricity in 1970 and was later abandoned, though a few houses still come alive in summer. Surrounded by steep mountains and sweeping ocean views, Múli carries stories of sorcerers and hidden folk, making the landscape feel wild and otherworldly. Hikers and wanderers who find their way here are rewarded with silence, folklore, and the lingering sense of a life once on the edge.
