Ovasavnið
Discover the story of Ove Joensen and his famous swim from Nólsoy to Tórshavn
Ovasavnið in Nólsoy is dedicated to the memory of Ove Joensen, who made headlines in 1986 when he swam the approximately 11 kilometres from Nólsoy to Tórshavn.
The museum tells the story of Ove, his remarkable swim and his life through photographs, stories and objects connected to him.
