The Church of Skúvoy

The Church of Skúvoy, built in 1937, uniquely faces north-south, unlike typical Faroese churches oriented east-west.

The church in Skúvoy was inaugurated in 1937. The church was designed by the well-known architect H. C. W. Torgarð. Unlike what is common in the Faroe Islands, where churches are facing East-West, the church in Skúvoy is facing North-South.
