Vegurin free Church in Vágar is a charismatic evangelical free church.

Who are we?
Vegurin Free Church in Vágar is the result of a merger between two former congregations. On March 7, 2021, Fríkirkjan við Gjónna and the House Congregation in Miðvágur joined together. We are a diverse group, just beginning our journey toward what we believe God has in store for us and our islands. We warmly invite you to build with us! Our vision is to be a living, relevant, and forward-looking free church for all of Vágar.

What do we believe?
As a charismatic evangelical free church, we affirm the Apostolic Creed. In addition, we recognize and practice the gifts of the Holy Spirit, given to the Christian church worldwide.

Services
Every Sunday at 11:00 AM, we gather for worship. Our services may be a little different from what many are used to in the Faroese National Church, which most Faroese know well. The first thing you’ll meet is a friendly host welcoming you. We are quite informal and prefer that everyone can simply be themselves. The structure of the service may vary, but generally it includes worship, prayer, communion, a sermon, Sunday school for the children—and not least, COFFEE! There is always an opportunity for prayer, and we gratefully receive any gifts. Our ministry is entirely self-funded through donations and regular supporters.
