Vesturgarður offers unique handmade Faroese wool garments crafted sustainably in Suðuroy, with tours of local wool production.

All garments are handmade from Faroese wool, which is locally sourced and sustainable. The entire wool production is in Vágur.

Barbara Vestergaard and Marita Vestergaard in Lágabø have spent the last year researching the best way to wash Faroese wool. They have also hand-carded and hand-spun Faroese yarn, which they showcase on social media under Vesturgarður.
Each garment is unique; sales depend on what they can spin and knit.

The garment can be purchased at Østrøm and Heimavikri in Suðuroy. Visit Suðuroy (Vágur) can organize a tour of the small-scale wool production.
