A month of culture, inspiration and community

Again this year, Vága Municipality is organizing Undurfagri Mai – a whole month filled with events that highlight culture, nature, and community. The month is an open invitation for both residents and visitors to take part in a wide variety of rich and meaningful experiences across the municipality.

The inspiration for the name and the month’s content comes from the beautiful and springlike song Mai by Tummas N. Djurhuus, sung by Lív Dam in 1989. The opening line of the song – "Ah, you wondrous fair May" – captures the exact mood that Vága Municipality aims to create with this initiative. We can look forward to an exciting month filled with events that shine a light on nature, the environment, and culture in Vága Municipality.

Many of the successful and diverse events from last year's Undurfagri Mai will return in the 2025 program. This means that once again, residents can look forward to cultural activities that offer something for everyone – children, youth, and adults alike.

Events and program

The events for Undurfagri Mai will be announced on Facebook and Instagram, so make sure to follow the Undurfagri Mai page. The full program will be published at www.vaga.fo once it is ready. The program will be continuously updated, and everyone is welcome to take part.
