Icelandic indie-pop meets a dancing choir

Get ready for an unusual concert! In fact, get ready for much more than a concert!
When Icelandic indie-pop musician Benni Hemm Hemm takes the stage together with The Choir (Kórinn), music, choreography and performance come together in something somewhere between a concert, performing arts and choreographed movement.
The Choir consists of around 30 women with very different backgrounds. Some are musicians, others dancers or performing artists. It is not meant to be a perfect, polished choir. It is meant to be alive, personal and slightly unpredictable. 
Known for moving freely between indie-pop, experimental music and large, unconventional collaborations, Benni Hemm Hemm has created this work together with choreographer Ásrún Magnúsdóttir, bringing his music into dialogue with movement and performance. The choir sings and moves through Benni Hemm Hemm’s universe, giving his songs a new physical expression.
Founded in 2023, The Choir is now performing outside Iceland for the first time.
