The exhibition “Fish girls – A Time Capsule from 1911”

A fascinating and moving exhibition at Varpið in collaboration with JFK.

A unique photograph of fish agents hanging aboard the vessel Gadus sparked the interest in creating this special exhibition.

Jastrid Gullaksen curated the exhibition together with Sigrið Mikkjalsdóttir, who wrote and illustrated the story of the girls’ lives ❤️

The exhibition will be officially opened by Andras Sólstein, director of the National Museum, at 2:00 PM.
