Norðoya Art Association

Originally, the Norðoya Art Association was responsible for the Norðoyastevna Exhibition in the central hall at Skúlatrøð during Norðoyastevna for many years — in fact, ever since 1986.
When the Norðoya Art Association became part of the development project surrounding Varpið, the first “Summarlist” (Summer Art) exhibition was organized in 2017 in the basement of the old post office building, running from Norðoyastevna and further into the summer. Since then, the art association has organized art exhibitions in Varpið.
Rotary Klaksvík has been responsible for the exhibition at Skúlatrøð in recent years. Last year, students from the Klaksvík Evening School took the initiative to organize the Norðoyastevna Exhibition at Skúlatrøð.
Now that Norðoyastevna celebrates its 90th anniversary and the Norðoya Art Association marks 40 years, it has been decided that the Norðoya Art Association will organize a larger exhibition during the upcoming Norðoyastevna in the Central Hall at Skúlatrøð.
At Varpið there will be an exhibition featuring works by Vegghamar. There will also be an exhibition in Varpið about women in the fishing industry.
Norðoyastevna Exhibition
The exhibition will, as usual, take place in the Central Hall — as well as in the northern foyer areas, called Torg 1 and Torg 2.

Friday, May 29 from 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM


Saturday, May 30 from 3:00 PM – 7:00 PM


Sunday, May 31 from 3:00 PM – 7:00 PM
