Náttarklubbin: Storken(SE) Brynjolfur, Trygvii

100 DKK Entrance fee, 18-Year Age Limit.

STORKEN is one of the new and exciting profiles on the Swedish disco scene. It stands between the vibrant city life of Stockholm and the peaceful nature out on the sand. Storken grew up in a musical family, surrounded by the sounds of iconic 80s names like Phil Collins, Queen and Tina Turner.

This musical upbringing ignited a deep curiosity that led him to learn to play many different instruments, from drums and guitars to pianos and turntables. At the same time as he studied music, he also delved into philosophy, which became a special cornerstone of his artistic expression.

When he began his musical journey, the underground world of electronic music drew him in. Inspired by his upbringing, Storken combines deep traditions of the Swedish landscape with attractive electronic disco sounds in a unique way. This innovative mix is clearly heard on his first release, Lille Vals, which was released on Gerd Janson's popular record label, Running Back. The release marked the beginning of an exciting artistic career and was well received around the international dance music scene.

With his first EP, Skogsdisko, Storken further strengthened his distinctive style. Here, the spirit of Sweden's deserts and forests is translated into an electronic disco soundscape. This culture has attracted a lot of attention and received good support from famous names such as Todd Terje, Annie Mac, Pete Tong, Folamour, The Blessed Madonna, Purple Disco Machine, Patrick Topping, Andhim and Krystal Klear. They have all seen his unique ability to create a new story in electronic music, where tradition and innovation meet.

From the sun-bathed beaches of Brighton Beach to the neon-lit nightlife of Kater Blau in Berlin, he has played a wide range of stages and clubs.

Storken likes to play b2b, and he has got a lot of dance floors to boil when he has a disc together with Todd Terje, Kornél Kovács, and Mall Grab.

He builds bridges between the past and the present and is helping to create a new wave of disco on the international music map. He has captivated audiences in cities such as Mexico City, Madrid, Cape Town, Geneva, and now it's time for Torshavn.

BRYNJOLFUR

Brynjolfur started producing electronic music in the late 90's and founded the first wholehearted techno/rave band in the Faroe Islands, Side Effect. In those days, there was neither a stage nor a special interest in electronic music in the Faroe Islands, so he moved to Copenhagen in 2007.
In Copenhagen, Brynjolfur quickly became an active and visible part of the rave and club culture. He started playing disco, and it wasn't long before he had his own nights at several of the city's most popular nightclubs, where he played alongside famous names like Trentemøller.

International music media such as DJ Mag and Clash Magazine have described him as one of the most exciting names in Scandinavian electronic dance music.
