BÓKADAGAR 2025: Family event

Anchovy, eel, cod… Take a deep breath and dive into the colourful and fascinating world beneath the ocean’s surface!Join us on a journey through the Faroese alphabet and meet the anglerfish, horse mackerel, ray, and many other intriguing sea creatures in the picture book Sjókæti A-OY.
The book features playful and captivating poems about various fish and other marine animals from A to OY, written with great finesse by Sólrún Michelsen.Annika Øyrabø illustrates the poems with beautiful, vibrant, and humorous paper cuttings that perfectly capture the spirit of the verses.
At this event, Sólrún Michelsen will read from the book, and you can view the original illustrations on display. Additionally, Annika Øyrabø will discuss the artwork and lead a creative workshop.
The book will be available for purchase, and you can have your copy signed.
Sólrún Michelsen is an author who has written short stories, novels, hymns, and poetry for children, young people, and adults.Annika Øyrabø is a designer and illustrator who has also illustrated children’s books by Aðalbjørg Linklett and Dánial Hoydal.
