One of the most famous musical works in the world

Antonio Vivaldi’s The Four Seasons is one of the most iconic works in music history – and with good reason. In four vibrant violin concertos, Vivaldi captures birdsong, storms, summer heat, and winter cold so vividly that the music still feels fresh, physical, and immediate 300 years later. This evening, you can experience the entire work performed by a chamber ensemble featuring both Faroese and international musicians. Leading the ensemble is the internationally acclaimed violinist Alissa Margulis, who performs as both soloist and director.
The concert also features Tchaikovsky’s Souvenir de Florence – a warm, melodic, and richly textured chamber piece that the composer wrote after a stay in Italy. Vivaldi and Tchaikovsky meet here in an evening where Nordic musicians bring to life two of the great travel narratives of musical literature.
