SAILING TO THE FAROE ISLANDS

Sailing into the Faroe Islands offers a unique perspective on the islands and their dramatic coastline. If you arrive by yacht or another pleasure craft from abroad, you must complete a few important formalities before going ashore.

BEFORE YOU ARRIVE

All pleasure craft arriving from abroad must be reported to Faroese Customs. Visit the official TAKS website for current notification requirements, contact details and the forms you need to submit before arrival.

Border control requirements depend on where you are sailing from and the nationality of those on board. The captain may be required to submit a list of crew members and passengers or report the arrival to the harbour master or police.

Always check the latest official information before setting sail.
