Atmospheric, demanding acapella with a touch of summer.

Join in when Torshavn Chamber choir, winner of this year's national choir festival, holds its annual summer concert in Húsavík.
Torshavn Chamber Choir counts 30 experienced singers, mainly from Torshavn. The choir's aim is to give the audience exciting contemporaty music as well as renessance polyphonic music.
The program includes contemporary music from e.g. Michael John Trotta , Billy Joel/ Bob Chilcott, Jaakko Mantejarvi, Eric Whitachre and the most famous Faorese composer Sunleif Rasmussen who is from the scenic island of Sandoy. Among earlier pieces are renaissance composer Thomas Luis de Victoria and older yet Thorkell Sigurðbjørnsson's Heyr Himnasmiðjur.
Bernharður Wilkinson contucts Torshavn chamber choir. Bernharður has for 21 years (2004-25) also conducted the Faroese Symphony Orchestra, and travels widely abroad as guest conductor in Icelandic Symphony orchestra and Wien symphony orchestra among others.
