A one-of-a-kind exhibition takes place at the Atlantic Airways Aviation Academy

Rannva Kunoy, a London-based painter born in the Faroe Islands (b. 1975), has spent years developing a distinctive technique using light-reflective pigments on canvas. Her paintings explore the dynamic interplay between vision, light, and perception.
Kunoy has exhibited in the US, Spain, Korea, and London. It has been 15 years since her last solo presentation in the Faroe Islands. To mark the occasion, she is launching a unique collaboration with the Atlantic Airways Aviation Academy, located by the airport. Her works will be displayed at the simulator centre, transforming the space into an immersive environment where art, technology, and machine intersect.
This one-of-a-kind event takes place on Saturday, June 21, from 3 PM to 6 PM, coinciding with the summer solstice—a moment when the Northern Hemisphere is awash in light.

An exhibition of Kunoy’s paintings will also be on view at Steinprent, Tórshavn, from Monday, June 23, to July 23.
