In Fuglafjørður, the Christmas trees are lit on the first Sunday of Advent

Come and experience the lighting of the Christmas trees in the three villages Hellur at 3pm, Kambsdalur at 4.30pm and Fuglafjørður at 5pm.

It is a cosy event with the local brass band playing, a speech and a visit from the local Father Christmas arriving in a fire engine. In Hellur, there is coffee at the local chapel, while in Fuglafjørður the Christmas tree is by the Culture House, which will be open with a café.

In Fuglafjørður, charming Ribarhús with the local handicraft shop, will be open with a Christmas market and coffee shop. At 3pm, the local Gospel choir will perform in the gallery.
