The St. Olaf's Exhibition 2024

an important and traditional contribution to the annual national festival

The Faroe Islands Art Association organised the very first St. Olaf’s Exhibition in 1948. The event went on to become an important and traditional contribution to the annual national festival. Again this year, the association will be organizing the St. Olaf's Exhibition at the National Gallery of the Faroe Islands and showcasing a wide range of interesting, contemporary artworks.

The Faroese Art Society first initiated an art exhibition as part of the Ólavsøka celebrations in 1948. Since then, the exhibition has become an important and traditional part of the festivities.

This year's Ólavsøka exhibition opens at the National Gallery of the Faroe Islands on Ólavsøkuaftan, July 28th at 3 PM.

On July 28th and 29th, the National Gallery of the Faroe Islands will be open from 11 AM to 8 PM. The exhibition will be open until Sunday, August 18th, and the gallery will be open every day from 11 AM to 5 PM.
